À rebours des récits héroïques de l’histoire, Mollusque propose un contre-monument vivant, glissant et vulnérable. La performance, filmée comme un processus de décomposition et de métamorphose, fait du corps un terrain d’archives fluides, affectées par le lieu et le climat. Entre écologie et désobéissance formelle, le film invite à réimaginer les liens entre humain, vivant et territoire : habiter le monde non plus en conquérant, mais en organisme poreux, solidaire et mouvant.

Mollusk is a performative film that sets organic slowness against monumental rigidity. Through the embodiment of becoming-mollusk, the body becomes an act of resistance: it opposes the erected, the vertical, the fixed. In a world structured by domination and the separation between nature and culture, the mollusk emerges as a political stance, an entity without spine or skeleton, whose memory unfolds in spirals, inscribed in flesh and shell.
Against heroic narratives of history, Mollusk proposes a living counter-monument: slippery, vulnerable, and unstable. Filmed as a process of decomposition and metamorphosis, the performance transforms the body into a site of fluid archives, shaped by place and climate. At the intersection of ecology and formal disobedience, the film invites us to reimagine relationships between humans, the living, and territory: to inhabit the world no longer as conquerors, but as porous, interdependent, and shifting organisms.
Mollusk was produced during a residency at Le Lieu - Art Center in Quebec city, fall 2025.
