Je me
Elle me

My interdisciplinary work in sculpture and performance is part of a nomadic posture. Performative walking practices are the binders of my creative process that builts like a chain of actions where each link is related to the previous. Thierry Davila qualifies dérive artists as sculptors of the everydaylife, transforming their territory through different strategies and devices. Thus, I perform the trajectories proposed by the urban lifestyle by changing my relationship to identity, territory and object. I explore the nomadic aspect of the body along with the commodity within an ultra comfortable sedentary lifestyle, supported by an economic system of inequality. I disrupt symbols of comfort by attacking their physical integrity by dramatic transformation processes or by an accumulation of repetitive gestures. Richard Schechner explains transformance as the performance beeing a ritual of daily life, passing it to another level, it is a self-transformation of the artist who also transforms the viewer.
The beige color appears in my work as a carrier of paradoxes and dualities, evoking both inside and outside, natural and synthetic, anonymity and spectacle, the individual and the collective. This mysterious shade haunts me, it's something visceral yet paradoxically alien. In the privacy of my personal history, it spreads in the environment, in concrete sidewalks, buildings, to the color of institutionnal walls; military clothes, costars, chic and less chic ensembles of the passersby. I bought my first suit of this color for a performance where I covered colorful toys with a layer of beige paint (The Playroom, 2014), accidentally dripping the first spots of tone on tone color on my clothes since then recurrent.
